Code of Student Behavior

•    Each student should be on time to each class
•    To create a positive environment, laughing, gossiping, forming “cliques” alienating other students or bullying of any form is grounds for immediate expulsion.
•    Talking and laughing in class which causes disruption is not permitted.
•    NO STUDENT IS TO LEAVE THE PREMISES WITHOUT PARENTAL PERMISSION AND SIGNING OUT AT RECEPTION.
•    No smoking, alcohol and /or drugs are allowed.
•    No chewing gum is allowed on the premises
•    No food is allowed in the studios
•    Only water in a water bottle is permitted in the studio. NO CUPS!!
•    When the teacher arrives to start the class students should be in lines ready for the class to begin, a teacher should not have to tell the students class is beginning.
•    When class has ended, students shall turn toward the teacher, clap, then exit the class or get ready for the next class, this is dance etiquette (clapping while you are walking    away is not acceptable)
•    Appropriate dance clothes and warm ups shall be worn. No holey stockings.
•    Each student should have proper shoes, jazz, tap and ballet.
•    NO MOBILE PHONES IN CLASS.
•    No jewellery to be worn in class
•    If a student has time off between classes they must provide themselves with some thing to do in this spare time. Eg a book to read. The studio is not a playground.
•    All studios, kitchen and recreation areas are to be left tidy before leaving.
•    Students must have appropriate clothes on when arriving and leaving the studio. No student is to leave the studio in dance gear with out a cover up.

The Dance Works, any of the, teachers and/ or staff will not be responsible for any personal loss, physical injury, and/or theft and/or loss of property during and /or after the time attending the studio. We (the student and parent and/or guardian) hereby accept these terms and conditions and release previous parties mentioned of any liability and/or responsibility.

Fees and uniform

1. fees are payable at the end of week 2 of each term and if they are left unpaid they will attract a $50 late fee.
2. fees  can be paid off but notice must be given to office before the end of the 2nd week of term.
3. If fees are unpaid and no attempt to contact the Dance Works has been made, then THe Dance Works reserves the right to not include the student in the classes inrolled till fees are paid in full or an arrangement to pay off the fees has been made.
4. if you choose not return next term a full two weeks need to be given to the office in writing in order to cancel your enrollment. Once and invoice has been raised for the term these fees are payable.
5. fees are for a term and missed classes can be made up during that term. No refund for missed classes.
6. the students need to wear uniform to class at all times.
7. Concert... once term 4 comences all students are expected to be performing in the concert. Costumes will have been ordered and organised and therefore students pulling out after the commencement of term 4 will be liable for all costs reated to the concert.
