Friday Dress Rehearsal Night usually last Friday in November

Dress and technical Rehearsal at the Theatre

5pm – 10pm. Arrive at 5pm for start at 6pm

We may run a bit longer than this, but not by much.

All children must attend this rehearsal so that the technical staff can see how the show runs in the theatre. Full make up is required.

Please bring all costumes and accessories

There will be no one watching the dress rehearsal Theatre Rule!

Children who have finished all items may come into the theatre and sit quietly to watch the show. Please note that if the children are not quiet they will be asked to leave as it is disturbing to all the technical team.

 

Dressing rooms

There are 2 large dressing room back stage , these rooms will be for the 10 and up eisteddfod teams and senior students.

We will have senior students and teachers in these areas to help.

 No parents are allowed in this area. These is no food or soft drinks in this area.

 

All other students will be in the large hall at the side of the theatre. Parents are able to be with their students in this area. Please not that this is not a play area and all parents must be responsible for their children or have made arrangements for someone to look after their children for them. No siblings to be in this area!!!! During the second Act most of the students will not be needed so we suggest you arrange to let your children see the show by repurchasing tickets for the back rows through Dance Works. These tickets will need to be arranges through the front desk ASAP as we need to get them reserved for us!! Don’t expect to get these through the ticket office.

NO ONE IS TO  LEAVE THIS AREA THROUGH THE FRONT GLASS DOORS. IF WE ARE CAUGHT DOING THIS SHOW WILL BE STOPPED. This is a safety issue as once these doors are open anyone can enter the back stage area and we do not want that.

Please bring a hanging rack to hang your costumes.

At the end of the rehearsal you may leave all your belongings in the dressing rooms ready for Saturday.

 

Any electrical items like hair dryers need to be tagged and tested before being taken into the venue. If you are caught with on that is not tagged we will have to pay $15 to have it tagged on the spot. 

THIS IS A HEALTH AND SAFTEY LAW OF THE THEATRE!

 

SATURDAY  shows at 1pm and 7pm usually Last Saturday in November

All cast needs to be at the theatre one hour before curtain call of each show.

Students need to be at the theatre 12noon  and 6pm for the shows.

The little children in Stars Cuties and Juniors can choose to go home after their number in the first show and then return for the second show . All others need to stay.

All cast needs to bring some water in a water bottle clearly marked.

No soft drinks are allowed in the back stage dressing rooms

All hair will be in a bun therefore children will only need to change headpieces.

No eating in costumes.

 

Between shows all students and staff will need to vacate the premises so duty managers can have a break. Please arrange that your child has someone to stay with or go home. We usually go for a break to Sizzler.

Foyer Rule

The Theatre has a rule that no performer is to be in the foyer in costume. So if you want to visit your family and friends at interval you will need to get out of you costume and into normal dress clothes.

After the Show

After the show we will ALL need to tidy our rooms and leave them in the state that we found them.

If you have a vacuum cleaner it would be great if you could bring it with you so that we all pitch in and make the job easier. We will also need some parents to clean the auditorium so please give us a hand. MANY HANDS MAKE LIGHT WORK.

If you intend to bring in a vacuum cleaner please bring it to DW so we can get it tagged on the tag and testing night.  

 

All Back stage crew and cast need to have footwear on at all times. No thongs allowed must be full covered shoe.

 

Performers...If you wear bear feet on stage you MUST wear shoes to the stage and remove them side stage for your number! Theatre Rule!!!!
